Tell me, any name who has more time than yours?
Every single one in the world has 24 hours in a single day. No one has more than you. If everybody has 24hr, few people say that I have many hours to spend, they do time management so they can say. And the rest of us waste it and wish we have an extra hour to do the work.
Time is more valuable than money. You can earn money but cannot buy more time.
If someone says, I am so busy, then it is not necessary that he works efficiently and effectively.
It is not enough to be busy; so are the ants. The question is, what are you busy about?
- By Henry David Thoreau
What can I do to gain control over my time?
Those who have more hours than others do time management, so they have more time. Whereas they also have 24 hours during the day like others. But they manage their time very efficiently.
Time management means using your 24hr in a very effective and efficient way. And check where you spend it.
Time Management = Smart Work
When you do Time Management, you will be doing great work.
When you say I have no time, you actually say I have no energy.
Advantages of Time Management:
When you manage time efficiently, you have the following benefits;
It provides you with a better understanding of the value of time.
If we manage it properly, we have vast amounts of time to spend over the day.
By doing time management, we will be more productive.
Through that, you feel relaxed, focused, and stress-free.
How will we manage our 24 Hours: 6 Time Management techniques
1. BIOLOGICAL PRIME TIME TECHNIQUE
Find out what times of the day you are most productive and at what hours your body is most active to work hard.
Track your biological rhythm; some people are active in the morning and some in the evening.
After measuring your productive hours, put your high utility task in that hours. And put an easy task on the rest of the day.
And you found that after some time you will be more productive in the whole day.
2. DEEP WORK TECHNIQUE
It means doing only one task at one time. Do not multitask when you are doing more than one task. It affects your productivity. Suppose you do two works at one time. It means that you are not doing any of this, you can not focus on anything, and you will be distracted.
The best way to do the work is to focus consciously on one thing, which will provide you with growth.
3. PRIORITISE IMPORTANT TASK
The last but not the end of the technique is prioritising your most important task. If you give importance to your most important task, you will feel stressed-free. And delegate some tasks to others. So, you can only focus on the most valuable work.
4. TIME BLOCKING TECHNIQUE
Time blocking is task-based. In this, you are dividing your whole day into blocks. For example, I will block this time for this work( I will read 100 pages of this book in 3 hours).
When you block time for any work that day, you will do this very consciously and efficiently.
5. LEARN TO SAY NO
If someone says do my work, you do yes then you will be burdened with work. And it will also not be better.
When you always say yes, you will be burnout.
Instead of always saying yes to everyone, say that I will check my schedule and do this work only if there is time.
Before accepting any task, keep in mind, Time is priceless. You will not take it back.
Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life.
- By Steve Jobs
6. PROTECTED TIME
Fix a time completely free from any distractions or obligations. In that time do anything you want to do. For example, you write a book. And you protect(no disturbance) your 2 hours in the morning is called protected time.
It is almost like Time blocking but the difference is in this only one person protects his time from any obligations.
